Scarlett's Going to Be A Big Sister!

Your new baby brother or sister will be here in early June of 2015!!!!

Santa 2014.

This year, you went right up to Santa and sat on his lap telling him everything you wanted. A HideAway Pet, a Unicorn named Onchao, a bike, and so on.

Winter 2014.

Dear Scarlett, what has been happening lately??
Breakfast in Saratoga with Daddy and me.
Daddy's  birthday in December and we celebrated by going to dinner at the place where he proposed to me on the anniversary 2 years ago.
You built this snowman that had it's arms stolen by a pup who shall remain nameless……But not to worry, we found him some new ones and you seemed content with that.
;)
The great thing about you attending a learning based daycare, they make the best gifts/artwork. In love with this plate that we used for Christmas Eve Cookies & Carrots.
And some photos of Christmas this year. Christmas morning was a quiet one which mostly revolved around you and your sheer joy that Santa arrived. We tried not to get you too many gifts. I can notice a difference between your gratitude at the beginning of Christmas and the change that comes by the end of the holiday. It becomes a, "Where's the next one?" game. Less is more. Remembering this for next year as family always gets a lot of gifts as well.
You loves these bug-eyed creatures.
Christmas Morning Brunch: Stuffed French Toast which was amazing! I used the recipe HERE, Frittata, Sausage and Mimosas.
A wonderful family photo taken by Uncle Peter.
Another great shot by Uncle Peter.

Apple Picking. Fall 2014.

(Taken from my main blog)

It's been awhile.
I feel like these long periods of time have been common lately. Not that I like that at all. I miss blogging. But life has been….well life and I've been prioritizing. October was a really rough month. We spent the entire month being sick….

I'm hoping that this isn't a sign for what is to come this winter. Scarlett is in daycare and that accounts for most, if not all, of the sicknesses we acquire. Scarlett's building her immune system and I'm told that she will be one healthy Kindergartener. If not, the doctor has some serious explaining to do!!

The one thing we did manage to do this Fall, (besides move and vacation and try to to recoup from virus') was to go apple picking. We gave Scarlett the choice to either go the Elm's Farm, a great place where the kids can go on rides, participate in Fall fun and all sorts of great kids activities, OR to go apple picking. She chose the apples. I guess Disney was enough rides for one year…

We had a good day and Scarlett was really into the fact that we could pick any apple and just start eating it. I think we ate more apples that day than the rest of the entire year. Halloween is not my favorite holiday and so this was the highlight of Fall for me. Now that it's done and over, I'm extremely excited for the holidays!! I've got some good posts in store!! Some room/home tours and of course holiday stuff!

Let's hope for a much healthier November!
