It's Summertime.

My little Scarlett. You are now fully potty trained. I am kind of glad that I didn't push you too much early on because, practically overnight, you decided you were big enough to use the potty. Two or three days of accidents and then you were golden. No more diapers. YAY! It's strange that you no longer wear diapers. You are growing up in all sorts of ways. You are as independent as ever. And you crack me up most days. Here are a few things that you have said this past month:

(While laying in bed cuddling under the blankets)
"It's a little bit cold in here Mama, turn the ABC off."

Daddy: "How is your food?"
Scarlett: "Good, but it's a little bit spicy."
Daddy: "But you like spicy, you're Korean."
Scarlett: "I'm not a crayon, you're a crayon!"

We've begun summer with swimming, walks into the city, horse drawn carriage rides,  miniature golf and even some fireworks. You are amazed with the big world around you. I have loved every age and stage of you but this age, (3) is one of favorites. I am VERY excited to bring you to Disney World this fall.

Your 3rd Birthday parties.

Dear Scarlett…..

    A post from my blog:

Scarlett turned 3 back on May 4th. I've been so caught up in….well life, that I haven't had a moment to share the photos. It was a weekend full of fun things. On Saturday we had the family from Massachusetts up to celebrate.
Scarlett got to see her Grandparents that she doesn't see often. She picked her own cake. Of course it was The Little Mermaid. She was so excited to hear us sing to her. All week she had been practicing singing it to us and informing everyone we saw that she was turning 3. We took a walk with family and spent a lot of time catching up.
On Sunday, we had a Frozen themed birthday at the YMCA where they bounced in bouncy houses and obstacle courses. I am normally the one who loves to plan a good ole' party complete with the best decorations and loveliest details. Her first birthday party here and her second birthday party here felt much more put-together. I feel like I say this a lot but working full-time has stopped me from doing a lot of those things that I love doing. I just don't have the time or energy to plan like I used to. None the less, I still managed to put together a fun Frozen/Bouncy House themed party. And the YMCA was great because they helped me set up and did all the clean up. It was well worth the money. Scarlett and all her little friends had a great time building snowmen out of marshmallows and pretzels. They made Scarlett wonderful cards and brought the most thoughtful gifts. She was a blessed little girl to be so loved by friends an family.

I can't believe that our small little baby has turned 3! I don't know where the time has gone but she sure is turning into one amazing little human. I never know if I'm making the right decisions or doing the best things but I guess we are doing something right….she's such a joy to have in our lives. Happy Birthday Scarlett. We love you.

3 years old…..

Dear Scarlett,

It's been a couple of months since I have written to you. You have been sick and I have been busy with you and work. I've been sick with Mono and it's really had me slow down lately. I have so many photos that I want to share with you. I hope that I can get a few posts down within the next week or so. Two days before your third birthday, you had surgery to get tubes put in your ears. Too many ear infections and way too many antibiotics have taken a toll on you. I was a nervous wreck but you did great and I'm so pleased that you have been doing well since the procedure over 2 weeks ago. Your 3rd birthday photos I will post in a different post. Today I wanted to catch up on some of the fun we've been having over the last couple of months, even though you were sick most of the time. You are turning into such a little girl. I watched wedding photos tonight and even just a year ago, you were so small! It makes me sad and happy all at the same time.

You have been much happier since the surgery. I think that your ears had been bothering you before and that attributed to your cranky mood. We also got a new member to our family, a little French Bulldog named, Ula. She's pretty naughty but you lover her.
